Facebook group events are an excellent way to bring together fellow group members and build meaningful relationships.
The option to create an event is typically available by default in Facebook groups. However, if you cannot see it, head to your group settings and under âpost formatsâ, toggle on the button for create event.
Without further ado, letâs dive into learning how to create an event on Facebook group and how to invite people to an event on Facebook.
How to create an event on Facebook group?Â
- Login to your Facebook account on laptop/desktop . From the bottom left side in your news feed, navigate to the Facebook group youâd like to create the event in.
- Head to the âCreate postâ dialog box. Click on the three dots at the bottom right corner to see all post formats and select âcreate eventâ.
- Fill in all the details for your event – name, start and end date, start and end time, event description, privacy, where youâd like to host it, etc.
- Once youâve filled in the details, hit âcreate eventâ.
Now that you have successfully created your event, letâs see how to invite everyone to an event in a Facebook group.
How to invite people to an event on Facebook?
- Login to your Facebook account on laptop/desktop . From the bottom left side in your news feed, navigate to the Facebook group where youâre hosting the event.
- Under events, select the event youâd like to invite people for.
- Select the âinviteâ option and a dialog box will appear.
- Facebook would show you a list of suggested people in your Facebook group that you should invite. Hit âselect allâ and then âsend invitesâ. All of the selected people would be invited to your Facebook group event.
Please note that you can invite a maximum of 500 people at a time. If the number of people you wish to invite is more than 500, seek help from your co-admin and ask them to invite people to the event.
Remember, once you invite people to an event, theyâll be notified of the same, and can choose to accept/reject your event invite.
