If someone were to ask about the one thing that would pump up my mornings as a community admin, I’d answer that in a jiffy.
I’d tell them that I’d want to know about:
- Everything that happened in my group the previous day (a quick summary of it)
- The things that require my immediate attention
Basically, all I would want is to feel that ‘Yes! Things are going good and everything’s under control.’ Or even if it’s otherwise, I would love to be notified of the stuff that needs my attention.
When I spoke to some of the community admins, they told me how they felt the same and wished it was possible.
Hence, we came up with the idea of 8 AM Email.
It’s a daily summary report of all important activities of your Facebook group(s) that both admins and moderators receive over email every morning at 8AM. (Hence the name 8 AM email)
We recently released it and the love and appreciation we’re getting from the admins is just super thrilling. We’re ecstatic and humbled at the same time.😊
Stay with me as I will now tell you in detail about the 8 AM Email, its 2 key sections and every single component within each of those sections.
Section 1: What happened yesterday in your Facebook group?
This is the first section of the 8 AM email I received for my Facebook group, Growth and Monetisation for Facebook Group Admins.
As you can see, this section sheds light on some important activities that happened in my Facebook group the day before. It tells:
As you can see, this section sheds light on some important activities that happened in my Facebook group the day before. It tells:
A. The number of members that joined yesterday, i.e. 3 along with the total count, i.e. 592.
B. The total number of posts that were posted in a day, i.e. 14 and how their engagement was, i.e. 100% higher than daily average.
C. Total comments and reactions on the posts that were posted yesterday and also if this number is higher or lower than daily average.
The 14 posts that were posted yesterday in my community got 239 reactions and comments and this is 121% higher than daily average. Wow!
D. The total number of spam conversations in your group pending to take action. For my group, it is 704. Boy, I must get on it right away!
Although it’s easy, I just have to go to the Urgent Alerts section in Convosight and take actions on the conversations that are marked as spam. I’ve set a list of keywords for my group and the platform notifies me whenever any member uses any of them.
If you wish to know more about Urgent Alerts to stay ahead of spam for your group, do read my blog on Introducing Urgent Alerts for Facebook groups: Say goodbye to SPAM forever.
Now, let me tell you about the next section of the 8AM Email.
Section 2: What to do next?
Firstly, this section tells you about:
E. The posts (from the previous day) that did not get any comments in your group.
Of course, you wouldn’t want to leave them as is. That said, we give you the option to add comments on that post in the email itself. When you click on the button, you’re directed to the post on Facebook and can comment on it.
As you scroll down, you’ll come across:
F. The best times to post for that day for increased engagement in your group.
As you click on the schedule now button, you’ll be taken to the Schedule Posts feature of the group.
It is the most powerful scheduler ever for Facebook group admins. We call it that because it not only tells you the suggested times to post but also gives you some amazing content suggestions. And if you meet all the suggestions, there is 100% chance of increased engagement.😊
Have a look how the schedule posts feature of Convosight helped Ankita Khetawat to improve the engagement rate of her Facebook group. The post that she posted with Convosight’s schedule posts feature, received 214% higher than average engagement.
Besides that, the email recommends you:
G. The post (the one that got maximum reactions and comments sometime back) that you should repost in your group for high engagement. When you do that, don’t forget to call out the person who posted it in the first place.
Wondering whether reposting even helps garner engagement? Well, Sapna Sengar, the admin for one of my parenting communities Home Remedies for Babies and Moms reposted this post a few days ago. Just look at the engagement! (380 reactions and 68 comments).
Amazing isn’t it?
