8 Creative Facebook Group Live Game IdeasĀ
Live Quiz
It is one mind-blowing game that increased the reach of Baby Destinationās Facebook page from a couple of hundreds to 20,000 on a single post.
Since then, admins of Baby Destination communities have been using this approach to keep their group members active and engaged.
Feel free to call it another version of KBC as it comes with a set of multiple choice questions and members have to answer them in a few seconds.
How you can do it is – prepare a video beforehand that has the quiz questions along with a ten second timer and tell members to share their answers in the comments.
Or you can go live, share your screen, ask questions from the members and encourage them to answer in a limited time frame. This is another way to go about it.
Have a look at this example.
In collaboration with Dettol, Deva Ahuja, Admin of Home Remedies for Babies and Moms, prepared a live quiz on the all-new Dettol & Moms soap and shared it in the community.
It got an excellent response from the members (134 reactions and 2K comments)
Not only did the members enjoy taking part in the quiz, but they also got to learn about Dettolās latest product, i.e. their moms soap.
Not to forget, the winners got their hands on the new soap!
They eventually used it and shared their thoughts in the community, impacting the buying decision of other members.
A win-win for everyone, right!
To Reiterate : You can either go live with a small PPT (one multiple choice question in each slide) and keep a stopwatch handy, announce the questions while members respond in the comments.
Or you can prepare a video and post in the community. Either way, it works!
In the former, itāll be great, if you go live with a moderator, who keeps a tab on the answers and members whoāre leading.
It works amazingly well for all group categories. So, whether youāre collaborating with a brand or simply want members to learn something new, go ahead and do a live quiz.
Live Riddle
Raise your hand if you got excited reading this. āš»
Riddles have been one of the most interesting parts of our childhood.
Truth be told, I still get excited as I stumble upon riddles every once in a while, like I used to wait patiently to solve the crossword puzzle in the daily newspaper.
They are indeed fun and a great way to foster creativity and imagination, especially in kids.
Which is why Jaya Aviral Mishra, admin of Home remedies for babies and moms, hosted a live riddle along with her Facebook group moderator to celebrate the groupās birthday.
Check out the massive engagement! (276 reactions and 3.1K comments)
From riddles around songs and movies to veggies and general childhood riddles, they asked them all.
āWe went live through our mobile phone and had the riddles saved on a different mobile. Purvi and I alternatively asked riddles by turning the phone screen towards the members, and also read it out for them. They shared their answers in the comments and we cheered for those who responded the soonest,ā told Jaya.
If youāre not comfortable handling two mobile phones, you can go live from your laptop, and use a mobile phone for riddles.
When choosing to host a live riddle, make sure that:
- You are fully prepared
- You have a list of riddles ready beforehand
- You have divided those riddles into different sections and decided the sequence of each of them
- You have practiced going live
No matter the category, this is an awesome Facebook group live game idea.
Live Tambola
Trust me, a virtual Tambola is as fun as an offline Tambola game weāve played at parties.
Sheenu Goyal, Admin of Super Indian Women, backs me here.
She has hosted approx 30 Tambola games in her community and has got a mind-blowing response each time.
Sharing a snippet from one of the recent games below.
Hereās how Sheenu goes about organizing the game:
a. Game Announcement – Sheenu announces in the community at least a week prior to the day she’s organizing the game. Members express their interest in the comments.
P.S. You can always do a poll and ask members about the day and time theyād like to play Tambola.
b. Distribution of tickets – She reaches out to the interested members (those who shared theyād love to play in the comments of the announcement post) on messenger and shares the image of the ticket (from the Tambola game she has) with them.
Members either take a print out of it or create the same ticket on a paper so that it becomes easier at the time of the game.
c. Rules Announcement – Sheenu creates a post and shares the rules of Tambola with the members and announces the prize for the winners. She usually announces 3-5 winners each time and gives them either cash prizes or gifts, mostly when her groupās sellers sponsor the game.
d. Game Time – Sheenu goes live on the announced date and time and hosts the game. āI keep my members entertained by talking to them, cracking jokes in between so that they have a good time,ā says Sheenu.
Every time members share they cracked a corner or have a houseful, Sheenu verifies their ticket and only then concludes the game.
e. Rewarding the winners – If it’s a cash prize, Sheenu transfers that instantly into the winnersā account. Otherwise, she delivers the winners gifts to their respective addresses. After they receive it, they review them and post in the community. This way both members also feel happy and the sellers are able to expand their reach.
If this seems interesting, you too can host a live Tambola game in your community. It is one of the best Facebook group games to win prizes which your members would surely enjoy.

Live Antakshari
The age-old game of Antakshari that we play mostly during travel and during get-togethers has finally made a virtual appearance.
Ayesha Younus and Tanu Dubey, admins of Super Women and Mothers Express respectively, have managed to take Antakshari online allowing members to experience the same in-person fun and have an amazing time.
Ayesha goes live on the scheduled time and starts with singing a song. She sings a few lines in her beautiful voice and then members continue with a song that begins with the last alphabet or word.
They type the song name and line in the comments. Ayesha picks the last word or alphabet, tells members and then they continue from there.
At the end of the live Antakshari session, Ayesha makes a list of all the members who participated, gives them a serial number each, and announces winners by a lucky draw.
The winners are rewarded with a cash prize.
Tanu Dubey, on the other hand, hosts Antakshari with a twist and has divided the game in three rounds.
In round 1, similar to how Ayesha does, she starts by singing a song herself or playing one on her phone. And members continue with the last word or alphabet by writing the song name in the comments.
In round 2, Tanu randomly gives words to the members. Then they come up with a song name and share it in the comments section.
Round 3 is more of a prop + Antakshari where Tanu shows different props/things on live video, members recognize it and comment the song.
At the end, she makes a list of all the participants’ names and announces the winners via a lucky draw. She rewards them with either cash prizes or things like chocolates, hair bands, scrunchies etc.
Live Picnic
Because of the Covid pandemic, gathering with friends for a small picnic sounded like a distant dream.
But, Shruti Sinha, admin of Weightloss Recipes, came up with a workaround and hosted a live picnic.
āMembers got very excited when I announced it. They were really looking forward to a virtual gathering,ā tells Shruti.
Shruti went live on the scheduled day and time and members started to join. One by one, she added members to the live session who then showed the dishes they prepared. Some of them even danced and sang.
Can imagine the whole vibe!
The best performances and dishes were later featured in the community.
Live Scrabble
Yet another classic game that you can take online!
Create your own graphic with words and save it on your phone or mobile. Like this one.
You can edit the above design HERE
Go live at the scheduled date and time and share your screen to show this graphic to your members.
Whoever is able to make the most words out of these before you say āSTOPā wins.
You can do multiple rounds of it depending on the time duration youād go live.
Ā Scavenger Hunt
This is one game thatāll keep your group members on their toes.
Create an image, list down different objects on it and send your members on a hunt for them in their home.
You can edit the above design HERE
Whoever gets the maximum number of objects from the list of those mentioned in the images wins.
A Tip – Donāt create a lengthy list of objects or else members would become busy looking for them. Instead, create multiple short lists so that members remain engaged and entertained throughout.
Emoji Pictionary
This is a great game to entertain and engage members.
For those of you who havenāt heard about it, emoji pictionary is like a trivia where multiple emojis come together to form a word. You have a list laid out in front of you and you need to decode the words.
However, you need to do a little prep before organising it.
First off, decide whether you want to organise the game based on random things or movie names or song names, or anything alike.
Then go ahead and create that game. Start off with an easy one and then increase the difficulty with every simultaneous word. Keep different points for every word and whoever decodes the maximum words, i.e. has the highest total wins.
Check out the example below.
Interesting, right?
You can easily create such a graphic on Canva yourself or edit this design HERE.
A Tip – Donāt go overboard with too many words on a single screen. Keep a maximum of three words.
Thatās all with the Facebook group live game ideas.šš»
If youāve not hosted a single game in your Facebook group up till now or were looking for inspiration for a long time, this is your sign.
